Stupid Sayings, “Good Enough Isn’t Good Enough”

People who say this are hypocrites. They may be good people, they may mean well, but as they speak or type those words, they are hypocrites. For your statement to be factually true, your definition of the words in that sentence have to change mid-sentence! A person who uses different definitions of a word interchangeably is bad enough, but mid-sentence? Jeeze…

Every time I’ve heard this phrase used, it was someone trying to show how high quality the product they make is. To their credit, it usually is a good product, but that still doesn’t excuse them using dumb language.

Don’t use circular logic to prove a point, just say what you mean! “Everyone else’s ‘good enough’ isn’t good enough for us.” There! I fixed it for you! And the best part? It doesn’t require paradoxical thinking to make sense!

Am I splitting hairs, here? Am I getting too wrapped around the axle about something that doesn’t really matter? Am I railing against a thing that doesn’t actually confuse anyone? Probably, but this is my blog, and I make the rules around here.
